Souting around

Advertising Agency: Cossette Montréal, Canada
The above idea is so simple but works beautifully. The focus on how earthquakes damage roads, buildings and cities has been directly simplified into the format of a map, showing how the earthquake breaks apart the cities by scattering and disjointing the road names across the one half of the map. It is effective how black paper is used as it immediately communicates tarmac, and the white road names are then accentuated.
Food banks ad by Germaine, Antwerp, Belgium
The above avert has been executed really clearly, I like the way it looks simple but is effective. In saying this, the execution of the piece would not have been straight forward, the barcode and strands around the fork have been carefully placed to appear like pasta, but it is the simplicity of the surrounding white background and the placement of the image int he center which focuses attention of the viewer and directly gets the message across.
Bonaqua ad by Lowe Bull, Cape Town
This Bonaqua ad somehow demands attention, it really reflects 'stillness' almost to the point that it seems as though time has stopped. The choice of the blue colour palette emotes a calm appearance, and the way in which the colours appear 'flat' also adds to this affect. The positioning of the woman and layout of the poster leads the viewers eye across the page. Her stance and arrangement just under the surface of the water, staring at the reflections actually makes the viewer settle on her for longer than expected, resulting in a successful communication of 'stillness' for the still water advert.
