Researching Fairtrade Gift goods

This is such a different approach to designing fair trade products, the new idea and format of presenting a gift is really clever, I like the novelty of the format and the beautiful design and colours.

"Crafted in India by skilled artisans working with a fair trade producer group. As well as earning reliable wages, each craftsperson receives the benefits of a health scheme, insurance and education."

"A set of 6 beautiful pop-up cards depicting a Himalayan mountain village scene. Printed on natural Lokta paper, hand-made and attractively gift packaged in Bhaktapur, Nepal.

Lokta paper is made from the bark of Daphne trees, sustainably harvested in remote Himalayan villages, and the cards are produced by artisans from Bhaktapur Craft Papers, a Fair Trade Organisation working to improve the lot of the lokta harvesting communities."
