Design for print

These are a few adverts which I have found interesting as they are very concept driven which is the area of design for print in which I would like to be involved in producing.Brewin Dolphin: Footsie

The advert above is brilliant, apart from the tastefully executed image quality, colour choice and composition, the concept is so effective and a simple but original way of thinking, with a touch of humour. This was done by The Red Brick Road agency, and looking at some of the other work they have produced, I am definitely a new fan!

Steven Whiteley: Business card

Absolutely love this!!! The concept is brilliant and the choice of stock & use of embossing makes the finish stand out and look so professional. Such a simple idea and yet so effective.

Levi's: Pop-up closet

Although this advert doesn't have a massive conceptual foundation, I really appreciate it because there is such a fun and craft based influence. It suits Levi's quirky but cool image, and is very different to their typical adverts with photos of images of people wearing their jeans.

3 Chanchitos Multimarket: Crying Babies, Ana

I appreciate the concept behind the poster above, the touch of humour makes the it really effective.

The Kansas Food Bank: Skip

I appreciate this piece because of the simplicity and direct message achieved. I would like to have the experience of being involved within ethical projects and hope that when working in the design industry I will get the opportunity to do so.
